"After the devasting Tsunami of 2011, my heart started to ache for Japan again. I had to go back, with the fear that Japan would be lost to the world one day, and the anticipation to re-enter the dream again." ~Wynter
Day Four - Ueno
Although the cherry blossoms weren't ready when we went to Japan, I still wanted to visit Ueno Park (known for its Sakura-lined paths). Along the way, we stumbled onto Ameyoko, a more typically "Asian" market street. The vendors here were very friendly!
One of the benefits of leaving really early in the morning is that you miss the subway rush!
Entrance to Ameyoko:
Panda sighting! I LUFF Pandas! I saw quite a few sightings on this day!
Statue of Saigo Takamori walking his dog in Ueno Park:
Monument to the Shogitai:
Another Panda sighting!
