"After the devasting Tsunami of 2011, my heart started to ache for Japan again. I had to go back, with the fear that Japan would be lost to the world one day, and the anticipation to re-enter the dream again." ~Wynter
Day Five - Yokohama Chinatown
On Day Five we travelled to Hakone. On the way, we made a couple of stops, the first of which was Yokohama's Chinatown. We have a Chinatown in Toronto that I go to, but THIS Chinatown, in Yokohama, was absolutely bursting with culture! It was also near the water, which made the location beautiful and breathtaking.
The famous Ferris Wheel at Yokohama:
The two pictures below are of the inverted "Y" and the "H" to represent Yokohama.
Entrance to Chinatown.
To the right in this picture you can see the Panda store! I bought A LOT of stuff from here. ^_^;;
The little shop where I bought a steam bun for lunch. YUM!
I worked at a supermarket when I was a teen, and having these digital prices would have saved me a whole lot of time! They're so cool!
On the water:
Grabbed a snack for the bus ride. MORE YUMS!
