"China encompasses a vision of its Past, its Present, and its Future. Walking the streets is like walking Time. I wish to be stuck forever." ~Wynter

Day Five - Xi'an
I was really looking forward to Xi'an, because it represents the old China. I was NOT disappointed!

Greater Wild Goose Pagoda
The Pagoda ended up being my favourite location in China. The temple was so calm and serene. I truly felt peaceful here. The first few pictures are of the city as we drove to the Pagoda. As you can see, Xi'an is much older in apperance than Beijing. Also note the lack of construction cranes. ;)

Ancient City Wall
Although the City Wall is strong in appearance, it was a little anti-climatic having just seen the Great Wall of China the day before. What was truly lovely here were the various floats that were constructed using wire and silk. The last two pictures are of kids were vandalising a rather expensive car... kinda funny, really cruel. It must have been karma, because one of them got hit by a man on a bicycle right before us!

Dinner and a Walk
Although dinner was grand, we ended up walking around and found ourselves in the neighborhood McDonalds! lol The first picture, by the way, is the city's Library.
